What we’re called out for
The washer faults we see most.
If yours isn’t on the list, call anyway. Describing the symptom is usually enough for us to know who to send.
- Won’t drain
Water left in the drum at the end of a cycle. Often a blocked pump filter or drain hose, sometimes the pump itself.
- Won’t spin
Clothes come out soaking. Usually a drain problem, an unbalanced load sensor, a worn belt or a failed motor.
- Leaking
Water under the machine. Door seals, inlet hoses and pump seals are the usual places to look.
- Won’t start or stops mid-cycle
Door lock faults, control boards and power supply problems all show up this way.
- Error code on the display
Tell us the code and the make on the call. It narrows down who to send and what parts they might need.
- Loud banging or grinding
Worn drum bearings, a loose counterweight or something caught between the drum and the tub.
How it works
Three steps, one phone call.
We're a dispatch network, not a call center that sells your details on. Here's exactly what happens.
You tell us the symptom
Make, model if you have it, and what it's doing — or not doing. Thirty seconds on the phone is usually enough for us to know who to send.
We match and book
We check who covers your zip code, who's certified on your brand, and who has a slot. You get a name and an arrival window before you hang up.
You approve the price
The technician diagnoses on site and quotes you. Nothing proceeds until you say yes. If you'd rather not go ahead, you don't.
Why you can trust who turns up
Every technician clears the same four checks.
Anyone can call themselves an appliance guy. The value we add is refusing to send you one who hasn't proved they're legitimate — and telling you plainly what we checked and what we didn't.
Being straight with you
Appliance Repair Hub is a dispatch network. We don't employ the technicians — they are independent, locally-based contractors, and we're upfront about that because it's how nearly every nationwide appliance service actually works.
What we're responsible for is who gets into your home: the license check, the insurance check, the coverage match and the estimate-first rule. That's the part we control, so that's the part we'll be held to.
- State license verified
We check the license is current and valid in the state they'd be working in, not just that one exists somewhere.
- Liability insurance on file
Current certificate of insurance held on record. If something gets damaged, there's cover behind it.
- Genuinely covers your zip code
We only dispatch technicians who already work your area — not someone driving two hours and charging you for it.
- Estimate before work, every time
A condition of staying in the network. Diagnose, quote, get your approval — in that order.
Straight answers
Washing machine repair: common questions.
Which washer brands do you cover?
The major manufacturers, including LG, Samsung, Bosch, Whirlpool, GE Appliances, Miele, Maytag and Frigidaire. Tell us the make and model on the call and we’ll match you with a technician who works on that brand.
What will the repair cost?
Nobody can quote honestly without seeing the machine. The technician diagnoses the fault, gives you a price, and only starts once you’ve agreed to it. If you’d rather not go ahead, you don’t.
Is it worth repairing, or should I replace it?
Rough guide: if the repair costs more than half the price of a comparable new washer and yours is past two-thirds of its expected life, replacing usually wins. The technician will tell you if that’s the case.
Are you the technicians?
No. We’re a dispatch network. The technician who arrives is an independent local contractor, vetted by us for license, insurance and coverage of your zip code. We’d rather you heard that from us than found out on the doorstep.
